Custom built desk with bamboo top and clear-coated steel legs. I designed and fabricated trapezoidal steel legs by cutting and welding 1.5" square steel tubing. A support beam was machined to provide lateral stability and attached using a welded nut and interior bolt to hide any fasteners. Mounting plates were integrated into the tops of the legs to give a clean side profile. The front and back edges of the top were cut at at 10 degree angle to match the profile of the legs. Top was finished in an oil-based polyurethane for durability and custom LED lighting was added to the bottom of the computer monitors.
