Floor Structure Repair
Examination of the crawlspace below an addition led to the discovery of inadequate bearing length for the floor joists. To remedy this, a leger board was added to the concrete foundation wall to to support the joist load. Holes were drilled into the foundation to accept sleeve anchors and lag bolts to attach the leger. The addition of the leger provided adequate bearing length for the floor joists and shims were added to ensure loading contact between each joist and the new leger.
