Laundry Room Reconfiguration

To accommodate a new, physically larger, washer and dryer the configuration of a laundry room was modified. This involved running new drain and water lines for the washer and laundry sink. Complexities of the building structure meant a new vent line for the washer drain also had to be run and tied into an existing vent stack in the attic. Once rough plumbing and electrical were completed, drywall was repaired. Cabinets were recycled from the original layout, however space constraints meant custom sized cabinets had to be built to accommodate the new side-by-side washer and dryer configuration. A custom steel frame was designed and built to support the long unsupported countertop span over the washer and dryer for quartz countertop installation at a later time. Custom under-cabinet RGB LED lighting and associated touch controller give a modern aesthetic.
